James alerted the first christians: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22). A preaching that doesn't translate itself in action add little to the world, unless, maybe, the illusory confort of getting rid of a task or an incompleted satisfaction of a hard obligation that was accomplished. Christianism is preaching, prayer, but also action. Is act of contemplation that is not limited to nor the temple nor the time, but turns itself into an active participation that also changes the society around it. This space is destined to those that doesn't satisfy only in hearing and talking, but, even in silence, want to have space and voice in their comunity, sharing with others this wonderful mistery that is the human (co)existence. |
